A little context

A place to keep
the curious things.

Good Ideas Require Messy Desks.

WhackyTech is Daniel’s personal hobby archive and working notebook: things built, investigated, learned, tested, broken, revisited, or set aside.

Software and games belong here. So do sound experiments, Linux rabbit holes, making things, cooking, language learning, and the small questions that don’t fit a category.

Room for unfinished work

A project can grow over years. A note can be a single useful observation. Failed experiments, paused ideas, and abandoned attempts are part of the archive too.

A note about dates

Documented activity describes when the work is known to have happened. Published describes when the entry was shared here. A newly published note may be about something much older.

When only a month or year is known, that is all the date says. A missing lifecycle simply means it hasn’t been established.
